Anyways, what you're saying is, tough [censored] they signed up to die? Only thing our soldiers ask, is to not be put into harms way unless it is absolutely necessary...that was definitely not the case with Iraq and became apparent shortly after and thousands of lives ago. Did the tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens sign up for anything? No. Useless war = Thousands of lives gone and billions of dollars wasted. It is absolutely idiotic to defend this war, plain and simple. </div></div>
I wasn't defending the war . I was saying in that post those people sign up to be in the military knowing at anytime they can be called to duty please show me how that defending it. And if you haven't realize (or you just ignore it) everybody i know personally that's been over there, and i've heard this from others , say they would go back in a heartbeat because they see what good it's doing and how much they really get to help those people. The only thing wrong with this war is it's being fought in Washington instead of Iraq were it should be fought. Whether it was a good idea or not the men and women fighting the war are heroes are EVERYBODY in the U.S should thank God that we have those soldiers willing to do what they do so we can have normal lives.

I know there are plenty that want to come over right now, I have NEVER heard one person ever say they would love to go back over there...not saying there isn't any, but why anyone would say that is beyond me. Most want to come home, be with their family, see the ignorance in the war etc.

Maybe because they've actually been there unlike 99% of Americans who seem to know whats best when they really don't even know what's going on anyways so they protest because that's what their hippie friends are doing...rant over....and see the good they are doing for those people that were attacked by Saddam for years and know that since they've been there once they know more about it and feel it's safer for them to go back instead of sending a new guy.

That's a pretty ridiculous argument. For the 100th time, we didn't go over there for Saddam - he's been out of power for 4 years btw. And most of America doesn't agree with the war and wants a end to it, are they all hippies?

Then you need to get your head out of the anti-war propaganda.

My brother-in-law's brother has served three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and wants to go back for a fourth.

There isn't an diehard anti-war sentiment. This is what they signed up for.

People like Boy13 would never even survive basic training much less being in the military. The sissy know it alls like him were our source of entertainment when we were bored. When there was nothing else to do we would just take turns beating the pulp out of a smart arse or two. Or maybe see how far we could throw or drop kick them. Oh, those were the days

Was there a draft ? no
Do those men and women get a choice to sign those papers to going the military ? yes

</div></div>

Wait....Clinton drafted that woman? I missed part of the Pub news that day.

Bush, sr when he didn't let the gunships take out Saddam's troops . As they shot up some of the Kurds our troops were called off, first gulf war article from somewhere. That was the story line, the pilots wanted to kill the Iraqis , they had been for weeks. The UN had reached an agreement with Iraq after Kuwait, and they weren't allowed to fire. It also went on to another site that could have been prevented, that one was a chem attack.
